In this program, you will travel to Peru for 7 days to learn about its emerging industries and economic development, with time to explore the cultural and historical richness of the country, including a side trip to the famed Machu Picchu. Included in this trip is also a visit with The Andean Alliance for Sustainable Development, to learn about the realities, challenges, and opportunities that exist in Indigenous communities. Your flights from Buenos Aries to Peru, and from Peru to Santiago, are included in the program cost.

Ángela has more than 20 years of experience with study abroad programs and Chilean education system. She has designed and implemented a multitude of curricula, syllabi and teaching materials for the Santiago Center and Chilean Universities. She holds a B.A. in Public Administration from the Universidad de Chile, a Master’s in Public Management, Government and Public Policy and completed the postgraduate program in Higher Education and Methodologies, at Universidad de Talca. Ángela has also worked as Public Policy Instructor at Universidad de Chile and currently, she is also a Consultant at the Department of Political Science at Universidad de Talca. 

Angela has championed advising students in getting the right balance in their academic load. Thanks to her contacts in diverse fields, IES Abroad Santiago has over 100 organizations from public, private and non-profit fields in partnership with our Internship and Service-Learning Programs. 

Grade Conversion Because international grading scales are different depending on the country of origin, there are different systems to use when converting your grades back to the scale of your home university. IES Abroad will take the grades you receive from Nanzan University and convert them using a grade and credit scale to the IES Abroad grading system which will be listed on your transcript.
