Students looking to participate in the Multi-Location – Emerging Economies: Santiago & Rio Program now have the opportunity to create a unique professional experience by combining this program with a summer internship in Santiago, Chile.

In Spring 2016, Emerging Economies: Santiago & Rio will begin in Rio de Janeiro and conclude in Santiago, Chile. This culturally-immersive program includes a week-long excursion to Peru, plus other trips in both Chile and Brazil. All field trips are designed to provide students with a thorough comparative background on the developing markets of the region. No previous language knowledge is required for this program since all courses are offered in English (with the exception of optional language course offerings).

Because the program concludes in Santiago, Chile, Spring 2016 (the program dates are February 10 – May 19), students now have the option to apply all that they learn about emerging economies and business in South America by following up their experience with a full-time international internship. The Santiago Summer- Internship Program will begin in Santiago on May 23, dovetailing easily with the Emerging Economies program. IES Abroad will assist students with housing between the two programs for those who wish to take advantage of this opportunity.  Students who participate in both the semester and summer internship program will also receive a $500.00 tuition credit to apply to the summer program. Please visit the IES Abroad website or speak with your Regional College Relations Manager for more information.
