Fall Break in Berlin

This is more of the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery. This is me with my German friend Niko in front of the Berlin Wall at the East Side Gallery. The Victory Column is in the center of the Tiergarten. This is a view of the TV Tower and more of Berlin from the top of the Victory Column in the middle of the Tiergarten. This prayer niche at the Pergamon Museum is from 1270AD. We went to the top of the bell tower behind the stadium for a view of Berlin. The sun was setting behind the stadium. My German friends took us to the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The Ishtar Gate led to inner Babylon and was built in 575 BC! The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe is huge and the free gallery beneath it was very moving. This memorial was beautiful but very sad. This church is in the same plaza as the state opera house and a French church that is nearly a mirror image of this church across the plaza. This parking lot is above Hitler's bomb-proof bunker where he killed himself and Eva Braun. This is the memorial at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp to all the people that were killed there. The Berlin cathedral was built in the beginning of the 20th century but was built to look hundreds of years old.

For fall break my friend Lauren and I went to Budapest, Vienna and Berlin. We were in Berlin for 3 days and 4 nights.
