Getting There, Part 5

Our other side trip from Florence was to the city of Siena, famous for its horse race. The city as tons of history!

Seeing and exploring Siena was great, but the best part was our Italin friends Daniel and Eva (Matia and Andrea’s parents) surprising us. They had recently left Ankara for Daniel’s new job in Rome and drove the 1.5 to 2 hours to surprise us! We were in a food shop and saw them in the window. It was great! We enjoyed dinner in Siena’s plaza. Luckily, I think I will get to visit them in Rome during the All Saints Day holiday weekend.
