Beginning Wednesday, July 1 at 8:30 a.m. Central Time, you will not be able to log in or create an account while we transition to our new student portal. Access is expected to be restored by the end of the day on Monday, July 6.

If you have started any forms in your MyIESabroad student portal, please complete and submit them by end of day Tuesday, June 30. Submitted forms will carry over automatically. Any forms that are started but not submitted by June 30 will not transfer—but don't worry, you'll still have access to the same forms in the new portal on July 6.

For more details, please review our student system upgrade information. Want a heads-up when the new portal is live? Fill out our interest form. Thank you for your patience during this transition. We're excited to welcome you into the new portal and continue supporting you every step of the way.

About the Program

Length: May - Three weeks

We invite you to consider our IES Abroad Dublin Center as a site for welcoming your cohort for a Social Justice and Women's Studies program. Courses and co-curricular activities are meant to maximize the use of the IES Abroad Center as a classroom while expanding students’ perspectives more broadly to experience life in a globalized society. Using elements of our Irish Studies/History, Politics & Social Change Signature Program, IES Abroad can help coordinate partner programs across many disciplines, with the common purpose of exploring social issues in Ireland. This program is meant to appeal to second, third, and fourth year students studying social change, religious studies, and women's studies. It equips students with the skills to think critically about a more just world. Exhibitions, walking tours, and guest speakers would be part of this short course taught by IES Abroad faculty.

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee the availability of all housing, excursions, cultural events, guest lecturers or tours.

Academics

Academic Program includes:

  • One School Faculty-taught course (content TBD by the School, not transcripted through IES Abroad Registrar)
    OR
  • Enrollment in one customized course from the Irish Studies/History, Politics & Social Change Signature Program - 3 credits with IES Abroad-sourced faculty.
