We are pleased to announce that Megan Markey has been appointed IES Abroad Dublin Center Director. Employed by IES Abroad since 2004, she has been teaching our service learning seminar, Service Learning: Youth Engagement and Education in Ireland. Megan Markey earned an MBA in Education Management from the Institute of Education, University of London and a Masters in Sociology from University College Dublin. She has also taught qualitative research for the Sociology Department at University College Dublin. Megan has been the Assistant Director of the Dublin Center since 2010 and interim Director during the past year while Ashley Taggart was on sabbatical.

Ashley has been associated with IES Abroad since he joined the London faculty in 1994. He was Assistant Director in London, and as Director of the Dublin program, he played a key role in designing a strong and creative curriculum, hiring an excellent crew of staff and instructors, and building excellent relations with academic institutions in Dublin. We thank Ashley for his contributions to IES Abroad and wish him good fortune in the future.
