San José Center Director Sarah Cordero Participates in Televised Education Roundtable

On October 29th, IES Abroad San José Center Director Sarah Cordero was interviewed about university education for the year 2021 on a Costa Rican roundtable television program called Dialogos hacia el Bicentenario. Hosted by Luis Rivera Bianchini, the program was organized by the Centro de Estudios Democráticos de América Latina (Center for Democratic Studies of Latin America, CEDAL) and Canal (Channel) 13.

Other panelists included Gabriel Macaya, former President of the Universidad de Costa Rica and President of the National Academy of Sciences; and Luis Fernando Diaz, former Vice President of the Universidad Estatal a Distancia and Vice President of CEDAL.

The panelists discussed the quality of university education, if educators are effectively preparing students for a professional career, and needs for the future.
