IES Abroad is pleased to announce that we are offering new, convenient, and secure online payment options that will allow students and their families to pay by credit card or e-check (ACH). These new payment options are available now for students enrolled in our Summer and Fall programs.

Students can access their invoice and these online payment options by logging into their password protected MyIES Abroad account. They will be able to view a copy of the invoice sent to their home and choose between credit card payment (additional 2.5% processing fee) and e-check (no additional fee). The invoice will update throughout the semester as they make payments and incur charges so students should check back regularly.

With the addition of these payment options, IES Abroad now offers students and their families a variety payment options:

  • Direct Account Debit - Submit a payment directly from your checking or savings account through Payment XP.

  • Credit Card - Pay with a credit card through Payment XP (includes 2.5% additional fee).

  • Phone - Call the IES Abroad Billing Assistant at 800.995.2300 to pay by direct account debit or credit card. Note: Credit card payment by phone incurs 2.5% additional fee.

  • Mail - Send a personal check, certified check, or money order with the student name and invoice number noted.

Payment Plan Information
For students that are billed directly by IES Abroad and studying abroad for a semester, academic year, or split year, we offer the option of paying in interest-free installments for a one-time fee of $125 for semester students and $250 for academic year and split year students. A down payment of $3,500, plus this one-time fee, is due to the IES Abroad office upon receipt of the statement. The remaining balance, due after the down payment is applied, is divided into three equal monthly payments for term students and six equal monthly payments for academic year and split year students. Please note: The payment plan is NOT currently an option for online payments. We hope to offer this in the future.

We hope these new options make paying for study abroad easier for our students and their families.
