Experiencing the Excitement of the World Cup from Germany - Blog Post of the Week

Just more than one week in, fans’ excitement about the 2014 FIFA World Cup is at a high. Students studying on summer programs have the unique experience of cheering on their host countries’ teams as well as the United States while abroad.

In this Blog Post of the Week, IES Abroad European Union student blogger Alzabeth Roman describes the energetic atmosphere in Freiburg when Germany beat Portugal 4-0 on Monday. From observing the differences in game-watching behavior to similarities in post-win celebrations, it is clear Alzabeth is having a ball.
