Calling All Photographers!

IES Abroad is looking for two student photo correspondents who will work directly with our in-house Graphic Designer (who has a photography background) to capture specific study abroad images to be used to showcase our study abroad programs online and in print.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about photography, would like to strengthen their portfolio, can take art direction, and has a great eye. We are looking for photographers who can capture a well-rounded collection of images that showcase what it's like to study abroad including:

  • Students with landmarks
  • Students in their everyday study abroad environment
  • Student life (homestays, apartments, school etc.)
  • Captivating photos of your host country (with and without students in them)
  • Field study photos
  • Internship photos
  • Learning abroad photos
  • Photos that represent the students immersing themselves in the culture of their host country
  • Your world [redefined] photos

Benefits of being an IES Abroad Photo Correspondent include:

  • Working with a professional designer/photographer
  • Possible publishing of work—photos may be featured in our marketing materials (bus ads, catalogs, catalog covers, print advertising, web ads, website, brochures, etc.)
  • Great resume builder
  • Real-life correspondent experience

Compensation:

  • This will be a semester-long project, paying $200 at the completion of the assignment. 
  • There will be bi-weekly check-ins and photos are then submitted via Dropbox.

Requirements:

  • Must have a DSLR camera (no photos from a phone)
  • Engaged and willing to take art direction from a professional photographer
  • Hardworking with attention to detail
  • Organized
  • Knowledge of Photoshop/photo editing a plus
