About the Program
Length: Spring Semester
We invite you to consider our IES Abroad Nantes Center as a site for French Language cohorts. This program aims to improve students’ written and verbal proficiencies in French while they are immersed in an authentic French university town. Nantes is the perfect place for students to improve their French-language skills, as English is rarely spoken. Nantes is a spectacularly beautiful city on the Loire River, featuring gorgeous architecture, charming attractions, and beautiful outdoor spaces. Courses and co-curricular activities are meant to maximize the location while expanding students’ perspectives more broadly to apply their experience in a globalized society. IES Abroad will serve as the platform for exposing students to the rich culture and history of France. Homestays will immerse students in the French way of living on a daily basis. This program is meant to appeal to students with two or more semesters of college-level French, who are interested in an immersive French experience.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee the availability of all housing, excursions, cultural events, guest lecturers or tours.
