Beginning Wednesday, July 1 at 8:30 a.m. Central Time, you will not be able to log in or create an account while we transition to our new student portal. Access is expected to be restored by the end of the day on Monday, July 6.

If you have started any forms in your MyIESabroad student portal, please complete and submit them by end of day Tuesday, June 30. Submitted forms will carry over automatically. Any forms that are started but not submitted by June 30 will not transfer—but don't worry, you'll still have access to the same forms in the new portal on July 6.

For more details, please review our student system upgrade information. Want a heads-up when the new portal is live? Fill out our interest form. Thank you for your patience during this transition. We're excited to welcome you into the new portal and continue supporting you every step of the way.

IES Abroad Buenos Aires Center Director John Hudson's Departure

After 10 years, John Hudson will be leaving his position as Center Director of the IES Abroad Buenos Aires Center at the end of the Spring 2022 term.

John joined IES Abroad in 2012 and has accumulated a long list of accomplishments during his tenure. He led the development of the Buenos Aires-based curriculum of the Multi-Location: Emerging Economies Program, which was created in collaboration with IES Abroad Santiago and offers Business, Economics, Sociology, and Political Science students a unique comparative perspective on the two economies. He also fostered the creation of the IES Abroad Buenos Aires Symposium and research journal, highlighting outstanding student scholarship and research each semester.

John initiated the partnership with our most prominent local university in Buenos Aires, Universidad Católica Argentina, and maintains strong relationships with other institutional partners and NGOs, including TECHO, through which IES Abroad students regularly participate in community development projects in under-resourced neighborhoods.

IES Abroad will begin searching for a new Center Director shortly, and John will continue to lead the Center while we conduct the search. We appreciate John’s flexibility in assisting with the transition.
