Meet IES Vienna Giese and Benesch Scholars

IES Abroad Alumni Engagement, along with IES Abroad Vienna Alumni Bob Dietrich (1966-67) and George Trask (Spring 1961), hosted a virtual event on September 30th. They spoke with IES Abroad Vienna Alumni scholarship recipients Jade Garcia (Fall 2017), Ian Husak (Spring 2017), Amber Orosco (Spring 2018), Michal Busbee (Fall 2017), and Emily Yekikian (Fall 2018).

IES Abroad Alumni create scholarships to provide financial support for those who would not otherwise have the opportunity to study abroad. Our featured alumni recieved these merit-based scholarships. The Clarence and Alberta Giese Scholarship Fund, established in honor of Alberta and Clarence Giese (IES Abroad Founders) by Bob Dietrich. The Dr. Roswitha Benesch Scholarship fund was established in honor of Frau Benesch (beloved IES Abroad Vienna Center Art History professor) by George Trask.
