Applying for scholarships and aid to help fund your IES Abroad study abroad program is easier than you think. Complete the 10-minute application, and within 5 business days we'll let you know exactly how much money you will get. Because we know that financial considerations are part of the decision to study abroad, you can even submit the scholarships and aid application before you've applied for your program. 

As a not-for-profit, any income we generate goes right back into our programs and students. It's not just a business model, it's a belief system. Everything we do is centered around the student experience. We stay up late dreaming about new field trip opportunities, we hand pick internship placements, we find some of the coolest housing in the world, we design courses specifically for you, we price our programs competitively while setting the standard for quality, and we offer the most impactful scholarships and aid program out there. How to Get Scholarships & Aid

1. Apply (it's easy!)

The scholarships and aid application only takes 10 minutes! You will first need to find your Student Aid Index. (Pro tip: that's on your FAFSA Submission Summary or a financial aid award letter from your school.) Once you have that, upload it to the application and answer some short questions.

2. Find Out Your Funding

After you hit "submit" on the scholarships and aid application, we will review your Student Aid Index and get back to you within 5 business days. Yes, you read that correctly: only a few days after you apply, we'll let you know how much money you'll get.

3. See Aid on Your Bill

About 6 weeks before your program begins, we'll share details about the type of funding that make up your scholarships and aid package. These details will appear on your final program invoice, so they will ultimately help you understand how exactly your scholarships and aid affected your bill.

Disability Accommodations

IES Abroad offers grants to students whose disabilities may add significant costs to their study abroad experience. This is a separate and optional application that gets reviewed by the IES Abroad Dean of Students Office.
