EC/IR 340 - Spain and the International Economic Organization

This course analyses the incorporation of the Spanish economy into the system of international relations and economic integration. With this focus, it studies the historical formation and the current situation of the main international economic institutions, the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and World Trade Organization, and others, as well as the characteristics of and perspectives on the phenomena of cooperation and integration in different areas of the world. This study is completed with an analysis of external policies of the European Union and the role of Spain within the EU and the most relevant international economic institutions.
