We are thrilled to elevate the IES Abroad Madrid student experience with brand-new Center space in the heart of Madrid. The historic Palacio López-Dóriga will serve as the hub for IES Abroad Engineering, Math & Science and Business, Economics, and Social Sciences programs! IES Abroad’s Language & Area Studies Program students will continue to take their IES Abroad classes and have staff support at the IES Abroad Center at Moncloa, and can enjoy all the new Center has to offer as well.

This new IES Abroad Madrid Center is located in the thriving center of Madrid, within walking distance of iconic historical landmarks such as Gran Via, Parque del Retiro, the Prado and Cibeles Fountain. With numerous public transportation options just a short walk from the Center, exploring the city is easier than ever.

Designed with student comfort and community in mind, the new space offers two student lounges, a cozy coffee area equipped with vending machines to sustain your study sessions, and a private outdoor garden for quiet respite from the bustling city when you need it. Experience the cultural, commercial, and historical pulse of Madrid just outside the Center's walls.

Large ornate doors

Designed in 1872 by Francisco de Cubas for the López-Dóriga family, the historic Palacio López-Dóriga received recognition as a protected cultural asset in 1977. With the elaborate ironwork of its balconies and the carved motifs adorning its facade, you'll feel transported each time you step through its show-stopping doors!
