IES Abroad is a GoAbroad Innovation Awards Finalist and a Webby Awards Honoree

We are thrilled to share that IES Abroad is a GoAbroad Innovation Awards finalist in TWO categories, and our new website has also been recognized as an honoree for the Webby Awards!  

🏆 GoAbroad Awards: Vote Now to Crown IES Abroad as the Winner!

 GoAbroad’s annual Innovation Awards celebrate and acknowledge the most original, creative, and exceptional ideas in international education.    The winner of each of the below categories is decided by a public vote, so we need your help to crown IES Abroad as the winner. Voting will close on May 31, 2023 at 10pm ET.

Some History & How it Works  

  • This year’s winners will be announced during the GoAbroad reception at the 2023 NAFSA Annual Conference in Washington, D.C. A panel of judges select finalists and winners of each category, except for Innovative Student Video and People's Choice, which is selected by public vote. 
  • For more than 20 years, GoAbroad.com has been the web's premier resource for discovering meaningful international experiences and alternative travel opportunities.
  • IES Abroad has been recognized for a range of GoAbroad Innovation Awards, among others throughout the years.  

🏆 Webby Awards 

Our brand new website was honored for Best Website Navigation/Structure in the 27th Annual Webby Awards. Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by The New York Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet. It’s an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the nearly 14,000 entries received.   

IES Abroad has worked incredibly hard to launch our new website this past January. Rebuilding our entire site with our web partner FFW allowed us to thoughtfully and intentionally improve accessibility and navigation, revamp our visuals and page layouts, clean up our code and data, bring the student experience to the forefront, and better capture the benefits of study abroad. This new website truly better serves our students, their parents, and our schools.
