Giese Taylor Professional Development Grant

Through the Giese Taylor Professional Development Grant, AIFS and IES Abroad will donate $150,000 over the next three years (beginning in Fall 2026), allowing higher education administrators and faculty to attend annual conferences led by NAFSA: Association for International Educators, Forum on Education Abroad, and DA Global Access Network.

The maximum award per person is $2,500. The amount awarded can be used to cover any conference-related costs including registration, airfare, hotel, and meals.

The Giese Taylor grant will reimburse awardees up to the total amount awarded after attendees participate and submit receipts.

AIFS and IES Abroad seek to support the professional development of the next generation of exceptional leaders in international education programs. Successful applicants will be:

• Based in the U.S.
• Full-time faculty and professionals in Education Abroad

Special emphasis given to:

• Individuals with demonstrated need who may otherwise be unable to attend the conference without financial assistance
• Individuals who are employed at MSIs (i.e. HBCUs, HSIs, AANAPISIs, and tribal colleges)
• Individuals who have never attended an annual conference
