Annual Conference in Chicago | October 26-28, 2026

The 2026 IES Abroad Annual Conference will be held in Chicago at the Radisson Blue Aqua Hotel. 

Our Conference features a program designed to optimize learning, networking, and professional development opportunities. This will be an Annual Conference to remember and you won't want to miss it!

Conference Registration 

Annual Conference Registration remains FREE for Consortium Members (Associate and Full Members) as a benefit of membership. Non-Consortium registration cost is $750. 

Registration for the Annual Conference opens Spring 2026.

Travel Grants to support Conference Attendance

The same way we believe in providing meaningful intercultural experiences for our students, we want our valued partners and colleagues in International Education to have the opportunity to attend a once-in-a-lifetime Conference experience. 

Ten travel grants of up to $750 will be available to education abroad professionals

It is open to all education abroad professionals from a higher education institution with preference for new IES Abroad Consortium institutions (within 2 years), first-time IES Abroad Conference attendees, professionals with less than 5 years in International Education or 2 years at their current institution, faculty with study abroad advising responsibilities, and staff from offices outside of Study Abroad.

The deadline to apply is Monday, May 4th, 2026.
