About the Program

Length: Three weeks

We invite you to consider our IES Abroad Cape Town Center as a site for History, Political Science, or Sociology cohorts. This engaging program combines academic discussions and lectures with hands-on experiences related to South Africa’s commitment to human rights, underpinned by the possibilities offered in Cape Town and surrounding area, by focusing on its democratic goals. The program is meant to appeal to political science students and to students interested in History, Social Justice, and Sociology, through historical site visits, guest lectures with local experts and community organizers. 

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee the availability of all housing, excursions, cultural events, guest lecturers or tours.

Academics

Academic Program includes:

  • One Faculty Director course (content TBD by the School, not transcripted through IES Abroad Registrar).
