U.S.-Based Customized Program Manager (CPM) and Coordinator (CPC):

• Will assist your students in planning and preparing for your program.

Chicago-Based Dean of Students Office and Crisis Management Team:

• Available 24/7 in case of serious student emergencies.

Center-Based Staff (Program Manager/Coordinators):

• Available 24/7 in case of emergencies. Will be your Center contact for the program and work closely
  with you to prepare and implement the program. Will accompany students on all IES Abroad-sponsored events.

CISI Insurance (Required): 

• This insurance covers IES Abroad students, faculty, and guests anywhere in the world during the specified program dates. Coverage includes doctor’s appointments, hospital stays, mental health treatment, and prescription drugs.

Orientation (Required): 

• Virtual and on-site orientations, including overview of the Center and the city, and comprehensive
  health and safety.

City Tour:

• Orientation includes a guided walking tour of neighborhood around IES Paris Center with a focus on
  resources (i.e., restaurants, pharmacies, metro stations, etc.).

Seine River Guided Boat Tour:

• Program includes a guided boat tour along the Seine.

Meals:

• Welcome and farewell dinners to build sense of community and cohesion within the cohort.

Airport Greeting:

• Organized airport greeting and transfer available via bus service.

Transportation Passes:

• Local Navigo transportation passes are included.

Student Housing:

• Students will be housed in shared apart-hotel accommodations in double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, a small kitchenette, and Wi-Fi.

Faculty Housing:

• Faculty will be housed in single apart-hotel accommodations with a small kitchenette and Wi-Fi.

Site Visits Within City:

• Program includes five integrated site visits that bring together academic focus with tourist interests. Examples include: Musee du Louvre, Palais du Tokyo, L'Opera Garnier, Musee Jacquemart-André,
  Pavillon de l'Arsenal, Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Musee d'Orsay, and walking tours with a focus on the academic content of the program.

Day Trips Outside of City:

• Program includes three day trips out of the city that highlight the context of the immediate region.
  Examples include: Giverny, Versailles, Fontainebleau & Vaux-le-Vicomte, Chartres, Chantilly, and Reims.

Field Trips Outside of City:

• Program includes one overnight cohort excursion that will be built into the program that may be linked thematically to courses with accommodations, meals, and activities included. Examples include: Loire Valley, Brittany & Mont Saint-Michel, Bordeaux, or Normandy.

Cultural Events:

• Program includes three cultural events such as cooking classes, a macaron workshop, theatre performances, concerts, and film screenings.
