If you have started any forms in your MyIESabroad student portal, please complete and submit them by end of day Tuesday, June 30. Submitted forms will carry over automatically. Any forms that are started but not submitted by June 30 will not transfer—but don't worry, you'll still have access to the same forms in the new portal on July 6.

About the Program

Length: Six weeks

We invite you to consider our IES Abroad Milan and Siena Centers as sites for welcoming your summer cohort. This highly immersive and innovative program is academically rigorous. It is also unique in the ways it highlights the experiential possibilities of a short-term program using regional travel and a focus on how national identity impacts the production and marketing of goods. This program is meant to appeal to Business students, and to students of any major interested in fashion and luxury, through high-caliber business visits related to well-known Italian companies, and guest lectures with industry experts. The program should be especially appealing to rising juniors, or to students wanting to internationalize their résumés without committing to an internship or a full semester of study abroad, as it represents a concrete experience. Students will spend five weeks in Milan and roughly one week in Siena over the summer.

Academic Program includes:

  • Customized course - IB355 - Managing Fashion and Luxury Companies - 3 Credits with IES Abroad-sourced faculty; Customized course - IB370 - Brand Management - 3 Credits with IES Abroad-sourced faculty; Program includes three hours of Italian language taught by IES Abroad-sourced faculty
