About the Program
Length: Two weeks
We invite you to consider our IES Abroad Arles Center as a destination for art and French culture cohorts. The charming town of Arles, known for its 2,000-year-old Roman arena and theater, boasts impressive Roman and medieval sites, picturesque streets, and connections to Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Picasso. A striking 180-foot tower designed by Frank Gehry houses a contemporary arts center, while summer festivals celebrating music, photography, theater, and folklore add to the town’s vibrancy. Our courses and activities are designed to leverage this rich environment, broadening students’ perspectives for a globalized society. This two-week
program is tailored for students without a French-language background who wish to explore art and culture amid the stunning landscapes of Provence and during the summer tradition of music, theater, and arts festivals.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee the availability of all housing, excursions, cultural events, guest lecturers or tours.
