Join us on a Familiarization Trip to experience IES Abroad first-hand!

What is a Familiarization Trip?
Familiarization Trips are short, educational trips designed to familiarize staff and faculty at Consortium Member and Associate Member schools with our Centers and programs abroad. We cover the majority of the associated costs including travel, accommodations, most meals, group activities, and local transportation.

Familiarization Trips touch on key parts of the IES Abroad experience including:

  • IES Abroad facilities
  • Partner Universities
  • Housing options
  • IES Abroad faculty, staff, and current students
  • Classes at IES Abroad and local partner universities
  • Internship placements
  • Community-Based Learning sites
  • Daily life in the host city
  • Cultural activities
  • And more!
