About the Program
Length: Five weeks
We invite you to consider our IES Abroad Santiago Center as a site for welcoming cohorts for our Introduction to Astronomy Program. Engage in all Chile has to offer astronomically: world class observatories, amazing professionals, and the clearest skies on the planet. Additionally, discover Chile's history and culture up-close via this once in a lifetime experience. The program is meant to appeal second-, third-, and fourth-year Astronomy, Astrophotography, Environmental Studies, and Physical Science students who strive to analyze the dark skies. Can the dark skies survive human development? Explore this question and more in Chile.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee the availability of all housing, excursions, cultural events, guest lecturers or tours.
