About the Program
Length: Three weeks
We invite you to consider our IES Abroad Barcelona Center as a site for welcoming your cohort for your Sport Management, Applied Health Sciences, Recreation, Sports & Tourism, or Health & Human Development program. Courses and co-curricular activities are meant to maximize the use of the IES Abroad Center as a classroom while expanding students’ perspectives more broadly to experience life in a globalized society. Using elements of our Sports & Society in Spain course, IES Abroad can help coordinate partner programs across many disciplines, with the common purpose of conducting a cross-cultural analysis of American and Spanish sport systems, business approaches, and athlete development. This program is meant to appeal to Business or Recreation, Sports & Tourism students and to students of any major interested in sports and culture through high-caliber business visits related to well-known sporting entities, and guest lectures with industry experts.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee the availability of all housing, excursions, cultural events, guest lecturers or tours.
