Join us for a unique familiarization trip to Barcelona that explores through the student lens how we integrate sustainability into our curriculum. We recently announced our Global Good Commitment and take our efforts to create a more sustainable world and an ESG-savvy workforce seriously.
Sustainability is critical to the future of our planet. Regardless of a student’s academic focus and career aspirations, sustainability plays, and will continue to play, an important role. We believe study abroad is a path to better understanding sustainability from a global perspective and to developing the problem-solving skills our students need and is expected from today’s employers.
On this familiarization trip, get a firsthand look at the student experience. As active members of the Learning Community, participants will get to know IES Abroad Barcelona, and our commitment to sustainability through the experience of a weeklong, hands-on “mini-course”.

When: November 13-19, 2022
Focus: Discover our new Designing the Sustainable City course. First piloted in Spring 2022, Designing the Sustainable City will be offered across 12 Centers by Spring 2023. Because problem solving is interdisciplinary in nature, this course is co-taught by professors across disciplines, from multiple IES Abroad Centers to students of any discipline, thereby creating multidisciplinary Learning Communities.
