About the Program
Length: Fall or Spring Semester
We invite you to consider our IES Abroad Siena Center as a site for biomedical technology. Courses and co-curricular activities are meant to give students the opportunity to experience both the historic traditions of the birthplace of modern science and cutting-edge trends in biotechnology. In addition to advanced courses in medical biotechnology at the University of Siena and IES Abroad Siena Center courses, this program also exposes students to on-site learning with visits to places such as the Anatomical Theater of Padua. This unique study abroad program allows students to pursue their own research passions while gaining knowledge about the rich cultural heritage of Tuscany and its impact on influencing Western medicine. This semester program is meant to appeal to students studying Biotechnology, Biology, Physiology and Chemistry.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee the availability of all housing, excursions, cultural events, guest lecturers or tours.
