Seoul and My Soul

my vision isn't the best,

my short term memory isn't the greatest,

and pictures don't have enough motion for me.

and so,

i like to record the things i see.

the things i like.

the things i love.

the things i want to pay attention to.

the things that are simply in front of me.

i have so many wonderful places i've visited in korea,

so many people i've met,

so much food i've eaten,

and endless amounts of fun drinks to recreate.

yet in all this time,

i haven't sat down to actually watch the videos i captured

all for the sake of remembering.

and so,

here is a reflection.

mixed in these videos are some of my best days here

and some of the days i would give anything

to be riding my bike through chicago's dan ryan woods.

[i don't feel there is a need to specify which is which.

as seoul has brought me highs and lows,]

but the beauty in it is all the same.

and so,

i hope that no matter where i am,

i never lose sight of the beauty in what surrounds me.
