Beginning Wednesday, July 1 at 8:30 a.m. Central Time, you will not be able to log in or create an account while we transition to our new student portal. Access is expected to be restored by the end of the day on Monday, July 6.

If you have started any forms in your MyIESabroad student portal, please complete and submit them by end of day Tuesday, June 30. Submitted forms will carry over automatically. Any forms that are started but not submitted by June 30 will not transfer—but don't worry, you'll still have access to the same forms in the new portal on July 6.

For more details, please review our student system upgrade information. Want a heads-up when the new portal is live? Fill out our interest form. Thank you for your patience during this transition. We're excited to welcome you into the new portal and continue supporting you every step of the way.

How We Support Your Health & Safety Abroad

Tal Pemstein
“Because I used the resources available to me through my home university, IES Abroad, and the Berlin-specific program, I feel confident, excited, and prepared to start this new experience. Armed with a lengthy pre-departure guide, an updated accommodations list, and a soon to be very full suitcase, I can’t wait to head to Berlin!”

Your Health and Safety is Our Priority

Our staff at our headquarters as well as our centers abroad are extensively trained to think about you and your wellbeing abroad. From international health insurance to intense crisis response training to an unwavering commitment to your mental health, IES Abroad is synonumous with health and safety.

We’ve been known for our health and safety standards since long before the pandemic. In fact, we wrote the book on it: The IES Abroad MAP for Student Health, Safety & Crisis Managment.

“Before even leaving home, I received phone calls from people [in Chicago and Paris] checking up on my mental health needs and medications. It was so thoughtful and personalized.”

“Immersing yourself in the culture and living completely on your own makes you grow as a person. IES Abroad played a huge part in this. They took care of every aspect of living, health issues, etc. They support you in every way possible and my experience wouldn't have been as amazing without IES Abroad who made me feel safe every second.”
