You are here
The history of literature has favored for centuries, the study authors and works from a strictly male perspective. For decades, this exclusive view of the literary fact has changed, thanks mainly to cultural and feminist studies, which have claimed the important role of women as a writer in all periods of history. In this course, the biographies and the creations of some of the most representative contemporary Spanish and Latin American writers (both in fiction and in drama or poetry), with the intention of demonstrating the effectiveness of women in the literary world will be analyzed and the peculiarities of their writing in the treatment of women's issues.
Attendance is mandatory for all IES Abroad classes, including course-related excursions. Any exams, tests, presentations, or other work missed due to student absences can only be rescheduled in cases of documented medical or family emergencies. If a student misses more than two classes in any course half a letter grade will be deducted from the final grade for every additional absence.
