Updates received Spring 2013

Christian Flaugh, 1988-89 Fall/Spring – Christian is Associate Professor of French and Director of Undergraduate Studies, Department of Romance Languages and Literatures, University at Buffalo (SUNY). He has published several articles and a book titled, "Operation Freak" (McGill-Queen's University Press, 2012). Christian is also co-founder of an educational touring French-language theatre troupe, Le Théâtre de la Chandelle Verte www.chandelleverte.org and an active member of the Transnational and Transcolonial Caribbean Studies Research Group.

Kristin Jaeger Jordan, 1989-90 Fall/Spring – Kristin received a MS in politics in Durham; met Ben Jordan at Durham and married him in 1992. She spent 12 years in Asia and had two children born in Tokyo and one in Hong Kong. In the near future, Kristin will be resuming a career in Connecticut.

Deborah Schuler, 1973-74 Fall/Spring - Deborah is living on the beach in Florida, after living in Asia for thirteen years. She retired after working 33 years in international finance. Studying at Durham University through IES Abroad was instrumental in her choice of career and in being a plausible candidate for overseas assignments. Over the years, she’s had the chance to live and work in Chicago, Singapore, London, New York, and Hong Kong. Before retiring, she worked for Moody’s in Singapore as Senior Vice President.
