PO 370 - Political Systems in Spain and Latin America

An examination of the main features of the different political systems in Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, countries of Central America and the Caribbean. Central and common concepts of these systems, (Democracy, Rule of Law, Governance, Supranational Integration), will be analyzed in a general overview. Then, students will carry out case studies, in greater detail on the Spanish political system, whose historical evolution and constitutional order will be subject to a detailed exhibition. Others of particular interest include the Mexican, the Argentine or the Brazilian political systems. Students will have the opportunity to choose one of the aforementioned countries' political systems for their case studies.
