Two (2) winners will be selected by Institute for the International Education of Students (“IES Abroad” or “IES Internships”) to each win one (1) Eurail Three Country Select Pass good for travel to 3 different European countries (Germany, France, Italy). Once activated, the pass is valid for a 2-month period and can be used for any 10 days of travel within the 2-month period (a value of approximately $500 per pass). Eligible entrants must have submitted an application for and been admitted to IES Internships' Berlin Summer 2018 program, be at least eighteen (18) years old and be a current student in an undergraduate program or a recent college or university graduate (within 12 months of graduation), with a student ID upon request. In order to be automatically entered into the drawing for one of the Eurail Three Country Select Passes, eligible students must complete their application by January 26, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. CST and confirm their participation in IES Internships Berlin Summer 2018 program by February 16, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. CST. In order to confirm with IES Internships, students must submit their $500 non-refundable program deposit to IES Internships or submit an Intent to Enroll Form (depending on home school-specific policies).


IES Abroad will conduct a random drawing on February 23, 2018 and the winner will be notified no later than March 16, 2018. The prize will be awarded no later than thirty (30) days after the winner is successfully notified. The winner will be notified by email and the prize will be shipped to the winner after a mailing address is provided by the winner. The winner will not be required to pay shipping, handling or any other charges to receive the prize. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to claim a prize within fifteen (15) calendar days of notification, an alternate winner may be selected. Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of any prize constitutes permission for IES Abroad to use the winner's name, city, and state in print, broadcast, or news media, in perpetuity, in any manner IES Abroad deems appropriate in connection with promoting this or any other IES Abroad sponsored promotion. Entrant hereby waives any and all rights which he or she might have to compensation or royalties for such use.

Winner is responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, and other charges. Subject to applicable law, winner must complete an IRS W9 form and will receive an IRS 1099 form from IES Abroad in the applicable tax year. IES Abroad makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, with respect to the promotion and the prizes awarded to winner(s). No prize may be exchanged for the cash value. One entry per participant only. With the exception of the non-refundable program deposit to IES Internships and the BUNAC deposit, where applicable, no purchase is necessary to win. Odds of winning are dependent on the number of entries.

IES Abroad agrees not to sell or give participants' contact information to any entity or individual outside of IES Abroad and its affiliates and subsidiaries. Participants agree to be bound by these complete Official Rules and the decisions of IES Abroad, which shall be final.

This promotion shall be construed and governed by, and any and all actions or claims in any way related to this promotion are subject to the federal laws and regulations of the United States, the state laws and regulations of the State of Illinois, and local laws and regulations of Cook County, Illinois. Any and all actions or claims in any way related to this promotion shall be filed in the courts of the State of Illinois, County of Cook. By providing an entry to this promotion, participants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Illinois, in the United States, for any and all actions or claims in any way related to this promotion, and expressly agree that such actions or claims are subject to the federal laws and regulations of the United States, the state laws and regulations of the State of Illinois, and local laws and regulations of Cook County, Illinois. IES Abroad may prohibit entrants from participating in the promotion if, at the sole discretion of IES Abroad, they show a disregard for these Official Rules.

All applicable federal, state, and local laws apply, and the promotion is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. IES Abroad and its employees, officers, directors, agents, consultants and representatives and its affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising, promotion and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries; (ii) failed, returned, or misdirected notifications based on inaccurate information provided by the participant; (iii) telephone, electronic, hardware, or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties resulting from participation in this promotion or otherwise; (iv) errors in transmission; (v) any condition caused by events beyond the control of IES Abroad; (vi) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in this promotion; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the promotion.

By participating, entrants agree that IES Abroad, those involved in the development, production, implementation, and distribution of this promotion and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, service providers, and agencies, and their respective directors, officers, agents, employees, attorneys, and any other person or entity associated with such entities and/or promotion shall not be liable for any and all claims, damages, losses, or injuries, including any third party claims, arising from or relating to, in whole or in part, this promotion, including entry and participation in this promotion and acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prizes. IES Abroad shall not be liable for entries and winner notification responses that are delayed, lost, misdirected, misdelivered, illegible, incorrect, or incomplete, and such entries will not be eligible for this promotion. Any person attempting to defraud or, in any way, tamper with this promotion will be ineligible for prizes. IES Abroad reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this promotion should viruses, bugs, or other causes beyond its control corrupt the administration, security, or proper play of the promotion. IES Abroad further reserves the right to modify the rules of the promotion in any way or at any time, as long as reasonable notice is given to participants.
