Scott Lyngaas has been the Center Director at IES Abroad Paris French Studies since 2014. Prior to coming to Paris, Scott was Associate Professor of French and Associate Dean at Beloit College. He earned his PhD in French at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2000. His research interests include trauma, memory and historiography in Francophone literature of the Americas. He has published articles on Marie-Célie Agnant, Anne Hébert, and Marcel Proust.
