Rob Hallworth has been in the field of international education for more than twenty years. He is currently the Vice President and Deputy Director of Academic Programs at IES Abroad. Prior to that, he worked as a study abroad and academic advisor for international affairs majors at the University of New Hampshire, the inaugural Director of International Education at Salisbury University and the Director of Study Abroad at The George Washington University.
He has been an active member of both the Forum on Education Abroad and NAFSA throughout his career. In his more than two decades in the field, he has served on a number of advisory boards in the field and presented on more than sixty panels at national and international conferences. While at UNH and Salisbury University, he taught courses in U.S. and World History. He holds a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire in History and an M.A. from Georgetown University in Russian Area Studies. He studied abroad in Lviv, Ukraine.

I studied abroad in L'viv, Ukraine.
What is your favorite place you've traveled and why?
For history, Rome . . . for sheer beauty, Paris . . . for exposure to a completely unfamiliar lifestyle and culture, Uzbekistan.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love music and play guitar, drums and sing.
