Description: 

A communicative approach to learning Hindi that lays grammatical, lexical, and functional foundations to enable the learner to describe or converse and understand cultural and social issues.  Reading comprehension and writing will also be a feature of this course.

Prerequisites: 

Completion of the 20 hour intensive Hindi course held during orientation which convers tenses, numbers, introduction to the verbs lagna, lagana, milna, and chalna. Students will also become familiar with the skills required to navigate everyday Delhi life.

Method of presentation: 

Classroom teaching, instruction, grammar drills, conversation, reading, oral comprehension tests, and written assignments.
