IES Abroad's Study Abroad Mania has come to a close and voters have chosen Nantes, France, as 2010’s Top Study Abroad Destination.
The final vote was close — Nantes with 1,931 votes (50.5%) and the E.U. Program with 1,893 votes (49.5%) — so it’s clear that both Nantes and the E.U. Program deserve recognition as Top Study Abroad Destinations!
With the Icelandic volcano eruption disrupting air travel in Europe and with numerous airports allowing no incoming or outgoing flights, many IES Abroad students are finding themselves traveling away from their Center. Some students are concerned that they will not be able to attend class on Monday or later next week.
All modes of transportation are currently in high demand throughout Europe. Anticipated travel will most likely be impacted and not proceed as planned.
IES Abroad's Study Abroad Mania has entered the Championship Round. Only 2 study abroad destinations remain in the final head-to-head match-up. IES Abroad students, alumni, faculty, staff, and fans have joined together from across the globe to advance their favorite destination. The votes continue to pour in and the polls are now open for the last match-up.
