Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Study abroad Christchurch! Christchurch is ideally situated to take advantage of the wonders of New Zealand's South Island. Within striking distance of adventurous outdoor activities such as skiing, surfing, mountain biking, and white-water rafting, Christchurch provides a sophisticated base to explore the beauty of Middle Earth. Part of the Kiwi culture is its connection and appreciation of the outdoors and Christchurch reflects this connection.

The Garden City, as it is known, also offers a tremendous range of urban advantages as well. Punt on the Avon River, explore the International Antarctic Centre, attend the International Film Festival.

Destinations

Christchurch Gondolas [1]

Just minutes from miles of clear blue water, Auckland is one of the most beautiful cities in the Southern Hemisphere. A boat tour is the perfect way to enjoy and see Auckland. Many companies offer different boat tours, including speed boats and sailboats. Some tours even will travel to the Great Barrier Island, approximately 100 miles off the coast of Auckland.

Antacrtic Centre [2]

The Antarctic Centre recreates the the environment of Antartica. There are numerous exciting opportunities at the Centre, including snowmaking, dining with penguins, an outdoor adventure ride, and much more. There are souvenir and apparel shops galore; it is easy to find the perfect gift for anyone.

Wildlife Reserves [3]

Nature-lovers will surely enjoy the Willowbank Wildlife Reserves. Visitors can see and touch the most unique species, some of which are endangered. The Kiwi birds are one of the most popular attractions at the Reserves. At night, the Reserves offer a wildlife tour that is truly amazing.
