An examination of artistic movements in France from the early 19th century to the birth of the modern movement in the 20th century.

None

Method of presentation: 

Lecture and discussion with visual support; field trips to museums and architectural field study visits.

Required work and form of assessment: 

Attendance and participation (10%), assignments (25%), mid-term (25%), and final exam (40%).
