Semester/Year Need-based Financial Aid

Description: 

Open to students who apply to and attend an IES Abroad semester or year program.

Criteria reviewed to determine award:

  • Level of financial need shown on home campus financial aid office forms
  • IES Abroad program location.
  • IES Abroad membership status of home campus.
Amount: 
Up to $2,000
Eligibility: 
  • Attend a private college or university that is a Member or Associate Member of the IES Abroad consortium.
  • Currently receive financial aid from your home school. The home school must have a policy of transferring at least 75% of home school aid to IES Abroad.
How to apply: 
  • Apply to an IES Abroad Program
    Apply online or download an application (if you have not done so already).
  • Submit a completed Need-Based Financial Aid Application [1] to IES Abroad Chicago.

May 1
Spring/Calendar year deadline: 
November 1
