IES Abroad - University of Canterbury Scholarships
Description:
These scholarships are open to students attending the University of Canterbury through the IES Christchurch program.
There are two categories of awards: Co-sponsored IES Abroad/University of Canterbury awards, and stand-alone University of Canterbury awards. IES Abroad students can apply for either category but may only receive one award.
The following IES Abroad/University of Canterbury awards are available:
The University of Canterbury / IES Abroad Platinum Scholarship
- one award of NZ$5,000
The University of Canterbury / IES Abroad Gold Scholarship
- one award of NZ$2,500
The University of Canterbury / IES Abroad Excellence Scholarship
- three awards of NZ$1,250
The stand-alone University of Canterbury Study Abroad Scholarships are open to any study abroad student studying at the University of Canterbury in Spring 2012 and/or Fall 2012. 50 awards of up to NZ$5000 are available. These scholarships will be awarded directly from the University of Canterbury.

Up to NZ$5,000
Eligibility:
Recipients must be accepted to and enroll in the IES Christchurch program.
Recipients must attend a college or university that is a Member or Associate Member of the IES Abroad Consortium. In addition, your home school must have a policy of transferring at least 75% of institutional aid for study abroad.
3.0 GPA (out of 4.0) required.
Return Requirement: If awarded one of these scholarships, at the conclusion of the IES Abroad program you agree to submit a 1-page statement about your experience abroad, including how it has affected you personally, professionally, and academically and how this scholarship supported your endeavors. Once submitted, this statement becomes property of IES Abroad and excerpts may be used in any/all IES Abroad electronic and printed publications. Additional details and instructions will be emailed to you after your program ends.
