Announcing the Spring & Summer 2012 Photo Contest Winners
Announcing the Spring & Summer 2012 Photo Contest Winners
We're pleased to announce the winners of our most recent IES Abroad Photo Contest!
Taking 1st place in the Student Experience category is Erika Daley for her photo, You Got a Friend in Me [1]. Rebecca participated in the IES Abroad Granada Program [2] and attends Penn State University. She says: "While hiking around Gibraltar and seeing monkeys, we also befriended a few!"
The winning photo in the Landscapes & Landscapes category, Low Tide at Miyajima Shrine [1], was submitted by Natasha Senn, a participant of the IES Abroad Nagoya Program [3]. Natasha attends John Hopkins University. She says: "The red gate at Miyajima Shrine is a world famous Japanese landmark. Seeing it both at high tide and low tide was quite a treat. The light shining through the clouds only added to the beauty of this landmark. The Japanese people searching for oysters at low tide also gave us a view of the true Japanese people and culture."
IES Abroad Auckland [4] student Haley Small earned first place photo in the your world [redefined] category for her photo On the Rocks! [1]. Hayley is a student at the University of Vermont. She says: "We're standing on the limestone boulders in Castle Hill, NZ. A very peaceful experience."
Special thanks to all of our students who participated!
