English:
Last Friday was my last official day of my internship with Sabine Valente, a bridal atelier located just a 5-minute walk away from the IES Milan Center. Over the past three and half months, I’ve learned a lot through this internship, even though bridalwear is not something I’m personally interested in as a designer. I definitely created a bond with Sabine and my amazing supervisor Caterina, and I will miss them dearly when I leave Italy. They have supported me so much, whether in chatting about relationship problems in Italian (a good sign of improved language skills!) or encouraging me in my abilities as a photographer. My hope is that we will be able to keep in touch until the next time I get a chance to come to Milan!
Italiano:

Jocelyn Wu lived in sunny California for 18 years before relocating to Ithaca, NY to study apparel design at Cornell University. She is currently a junior. She strives to design innovative, functional, and enduring clothing that elicits an emotional connection with the wearer. Her dream is to become a "people's designer": far from the realms of both luxury and fast fashion, serving those in the average population who understand that clothing is meant to be cherished for years beyond a single season. When she isn't in the studio, Jocelyn likes to knit, study foreign languages, journal, cook, bike, play the guitar, run, and wash dishes, occasionally (somewhat) simultaneously.
