This Buddhist temple is the most in the Yunnan province as it is the largest of its kind. Built during the Tang Dynasty, the temple has been reconstructed over the years and exemplifies many of the architectural qualities of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Today the temple serves also as the base for the Yunnan Provincial and Kunming Buddhism Commissions.
