Program requirements:
  • 18 Years of Age
  • In good standing at your home school
  • A GPA of 3.3 or above in your concentration. Applicants with a GPA of 3.0 overall will be considered if they can demostrate strong academic motivation.
  • Junior or Senior standing when program begins.
Required application materials:
  • IES Abroad Application for Admission
  • Authorization and Evaluation.  Your on-campus study abroad advisor will instruct you on approval for this program
  • Official Transcript.  Submit one official transcript for each college/university you have attended since high school
  • IES Abroad London - School of Oriental and African Studies Supplemental Application
  • A current official transcript demonstrating a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.3
  • Two academic references on school/departmental letterhead
  • Personal academic statement outlining what you would like to gain from studying at SOAS and what you can contribute to the SOAS community (350-500 words)
  • If English is not your native language, SOAS requires you to submit scores from a recognized English language testing agency.  Required scores are listed on the cover of the SOAS Supplemental Application
