Program requirements:
  • 18 Years of Age
  • In good standing at your home school
  • 3.5 GPA or Better on a 4.0 Scale
  • Junior or Senior standing when program begins.
Required application materials:
  • IES Abroad Application for Admission
  • Authorization and Evaluation.  Your on-campus study abroad advisor will instruct you on approval for this program
  • Official Transcript.  Submit one official transcript for each college/university you have attended since high school
  • IES Abroad London-Courtauld Institute of Art Supplemental Application
  • A current official transcript submitted with IES Abroad application and  demonstrating a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5
  • Two recent art history essays
  • Two letters of reference from art history faculty on school/department letterhead
  • Personal academic statement detailing your academic and professional goals and your reasons for studying at Courtauld
  • If English is not your native language, Courtauld requires you to submit scores from a recognized English language testing agency.  Required scores are listed on the cover of the Courtauld Institute of Art Supplemental Application
